For this project, I used what has become one of my favorite illustration techniques, sketching, tracing with marker and vectorizing the tracings. (I call it STV for short) With this way of doing things, you end up with illustrations that have, what I like to call, a “human touch.” With straight vectors, the designer can become obsessed with the little things, a curve, if it is symmetrical, if it looks perfect, etc. With this technique, those flaws and imperfections are embraced. For a full breakdown on what I do to create these illustrations, visit my Medicare Illustration where I employed the same style.
